Use buttons below to view more information about OSPREY II.

"Osprey II" (ex INTOLERANCE) has proven to be as comfortable and sea worthy as they come.  Lyman-Morse built many Hunt designs over the years and this vessel is a great example why. She has the perfect balance between performnace and asthetics. When you add to that the condition she has been kept in Osprey II lands herself in the top class of flybridge crusiers available today. Seeing how the market is moving and the recent price reduction only verifies how excellent the offering of the is custom yacht is.

Layout and Design

Beautifully finished Herreshoff Style interior with varnished Cherry trim on white flat panels. The soles are solid varnished teak and holly below and teak and thiokol with a clear satin finish in the Salon. The yacht is wonderfully bright and airy throughout with eight opening ports, four large hatches and 4 dorades below. In the Salon you are surrounded by large windows including windows in the port and starboard side doors and double sliding doors aft. There are interior sliding teak doors with full length screens aft. Artificial lighting is equally abundant with reading lamps at the berths and settees as well as several overhead lamps and under cabinet lights.

Starting forward is the Master Stateroom featuring a generous island queen with copious amounts of storage below in 4 very large drawers as well as some bin type storage below the fwd section of the berth. Outboard the hull is lined with tongue and groove "ceilings" and there is a varnished Cherry storage shelf P&S. Aft and outboard on both sides are cedar lined hanging lockers and bureaus with drawers and additional lockers.

Next aft and to starboard is the head with Vacuflush W.C., generous vanity with Corian counter tops and sink and pressure H&C water. Excellent storage in three drawers and additional lockers. Opposite the head, to port is the separate stall shower compartment with seat outboard.

Next aft below is the galley (see galley below). Up three steps (with storage under) is the Salon and lower helm station. To port is a u-shaped dining settee built in 2008 with varnished teak pedestal table, there is storage under the settee fwd of which there is bureau with a locker with shelves. Below the settee there is storage in 3 drawers. Above the bureau is an ingenious and well hidden pass through to move beverages and food from the Salon to the flying bridge. Fwd of the bureau is passage to the port side door with storage under the teak step while all the way forward is a chart area.  Opposite the dining settee is a bureau with lockers and drawers, then an open space which might easily accommodate two chairs.

The lower helm station is forward and to starboard adjacent to which is the starboard side door. Adjoining the helm station are full controls for the yacht incuding electrical distribution panels, inverter panel, tank tender, refrigeration instrumentation and other vessel controls.

On her fourth owner who purchased the yacht in 2008 (2nd owner only had the boat briefly and was unable to use her). During the winter of 99/2000 the yacht underwent a refit. During that time electronics were updated, a generator and air conditioning were added and the yacht was lengthend by two feet. The double transom door was added and recently a new teak swim platform. All earlier work was carried out by Little Harbor (now Hinckley) yacht yard in Portsmouth, RI. The yacht has always been maintained without regard to cost and has always been stored inside in the off season, she has never gone south. OSPREY II will appeal to those who are serious yachtsmen and especially to those who appreciate the pedigree of builder Lyman-Morse and designer C. Raymond Hunt Assoc. and wish to have a distinctive vs. production yacht. She is offered for sale at less than 1/5 of her replacement cost.

At time of the listing app 80% of the exterior bright work is being re-finished and given 8-10 coats with the balance being touched up and given 2-4 coats of additional varnish the exterior bright work.
