Lyman-Morse Fabrication is fast becoming the source for custom-made metal fabrication projects in New England. In addition to constructing ocean going yachts and marine components, our fabrication shop designs and constructs architectural features, metal handrails, railings, stairs, fences, gates, doors/entrances, solar mounting kits and signage solutions. Our team has expertise in working with stainless, aluminum, bronze, steel and titanium.
Thanks to our expertise in metal and composite fabrication, Lyman-Morse was contracted to construct a complicated architectural canopy structure for Baruch College in Midtown Manhattan. The canopy was engineered by RSD Engineering and will function as an architectural centerpiece with an integrated stainless steel gutter system to shield the building’s entrance from snow and rain.
The canopy utilizes an innovative construction technique that sandwiches an aluminum core and stainless steel skin together in one panel, resulting in an ultralight and extremely durable material. The completed project was presented in the summer of 2012. (Architectural Rendering by RSD Engineering)
Lyman-Morse Fabrication has also built custom installations for homes in the midcoast area. Some projects include a brass entryway, staircases, tensioned railings and artistic titanium installations for a music conservatory.
In addition to fabricating marine hardware, our shop has built some of the finest aluminum hulls proud to bear the Lyman-Morse names. Recent projects include an innovative 58' aluminum steadysailer from C.W. Paine, Inc., a 60' Michael Porter aluminum long range motor cruiser designed to transit the oceans of the world, and a 30’ Rum Runner center console jet boat designed to deftly maneuver in shallow waters in classic style.
Hardware examples include the custom bow and stern chocks for ANNIE ROSE, the custom-made aluminum radar mast and one-piece 34' bowrail for WOMBAT, and most of the stainless hardware on the recently launched 48’ Classic Daysailer.
Lyman Morse has many years of experience in the fabrication of fuel, water and holding tanks for our customer’s boats. We ensure the longevity and integrity of our tanks through a combination of correct material, appropriate procedures and processes and, of course, some of the finest craftsmanship available.
Our custom tanks are available in the following materials:
Our tanks all come with fittings/cleanouts to our customers’ specifications.
Our broad range of available thermoplastics and their fabrication is only limited in size and shape by our customers’ imagination. We use the latest plastic welding and forming techniques available to offer our customers the highest quality product whilst remaining at a cost effective price.
Our plastics are available in a variety of different colors, thicknesses, densities, grades (food etc.) and, if required, with U.V stabilizers for outdoor longevity.
Lyman-Morse introduces affordable and practical Solar Mounting Kits customized for your unique application. With both Roof-Mounted and Ground-Mounted Photovoltaic (PV) Solar Energy Systems, and Ground-Mounted Hot Water Solar Energy Systems, our kits are:
Our solar mount kits provide a streamlined solution for solar installers making it easier to price, configure, and scale projects of virtually any size. The kits work for a wide range of building and weather conditions, mount over obstructions and can handle high wind and snow loads.
