Lyman-Morse Fabrication is fast becoming the source for custom-made metal fabrication projects in New England. In addition to constructing ocean going yachts and marine components, our fabrication shop designs and constructs architectural features, metal handrails, railings, stairs, fences, gates, doors/entrances, solar mounting kits and signage solutions. Our team has expertise in working with stainless, aluminum, bronze, steel and titanium.
Thanks to our expertise in metal and composite fabrication, Lyman-Morse was contracted to construct a complicated architectural canopy structure for Baruch College in Midtown Manhattan. The canopy was engineered by RSD Engineering and will function as an architectural centerpiece with an integrated stainless steel gutter system to shield the building’s entrance from snow and rain.
The canopy utilizes an innovative construction technique that sandwiches an aluminum core and stainless steel skin together in one panel, resulting in an ultralight and extremely durable material. The completed project was presented in the summer of 2012. (Architectural Rendering by RSD Engineering)
Lyman-Morse Fabrication has also built custom installations for homes in the midcoast area. Some projects include a brass entryway, staircases, tensioned railings and artistic titanium installations for a music conservatory.
Our custom metal fabrication services CNC, press brake forming, shearing, punching, welding and assembly. Because of the facilities we have available, we are able to take on all types of jobs, whether for a single-unit prototype or larger production runs. We’ll gladly accept the most challenging projects you can send our way, and we’ll do them well with get-it-right-the-first-time accuracy and speed. We've been designing, fabricating, and installing custom fabricated metal fences and gates in Maine and New England for almost a decade. These metal fabrication projects include industrial applications, commercial buildings and residential real estate properties. Lyman-Morse Fabrication provides a wide range of quality fence and metal gate fabrication products all customized to meet customer specifications. Whether you are planning a simple entrance gate or need to secure an industrial complex with a fence our experienced metal fabricators are dedicated to meeting your requirements. Our experience and expertise in ornamental iron, stainless steel, alloy steel and aluminum offer many architectural and custom design options for your custom fence or metal gate project.
Lyman-Morse Fabrications’ world class metal workers manufacture beautiful metal stairs and railings that are strong, functional and elegant. Our team provides metal products ranging from spiral, curved or incline stairs, custom railing and balusters, and dock ramps. Preferred by many home owners, architects, builders and contractors, we work in a variety of metals such as iron, steel and aluminum with accents in copper and brass. Each of our designs can be combined with wood treads and handrails to provide a distinctive look.
In addition to fabricating marine hardware, our shop has built some of the finest aluminum hulls proud to bear the Lyman-Morse names. Recent projects include an innovative 58' aluminum steadysailer from C.W. Paine, Inc., a 60' Michael Porter aluminum long range motor cruiser designed to transit the oceans of the world, and a 30’ Rum Runner center console jet boat designed to deftly maneuver in shallow waters in classic style.
Hardware examples include the custom bow and stern chocks for ANNIE ROSE, the custom-made aluminum radar mast and one-piece 34' bowrail for WOMBAT, and most of the stainless hardware on the recently launched 48’ Classic Daysailer.
